WISDOM has been a wonderful home for her owners during the past two seasons, cruising the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the U.S. East Coast. Lightly used and maintained with care, she presents a rare opportunity to acquire a Lagoon 50 fitted with factory-installed extras and equipment for comfortable, long-range cruising.
WISDOM will be displayed in Annapolis for the sailboat show and will then make a measured cruise down the coast. The current plan is to be in the Bahamas by Christmas. This provides an excellent window to inspect the yacht, review her service history, and arrange sea trials before the season.
Under the technical guidance of VPLP, this new-generation Lagoon benefits from a mast step positioned further aft, a design choice that delivers tangible sailing advantages. The aft rig location helps re-center weight and significantly reduces pitching, producing a steadier motion at sea and improved comfort underway.
The aft mast position also enables a self-tacking jib for simplified maneuvers and a shorter boom for easier handling. A larger forward triangle expands your downwind sail options—spinnakers and code sails can be employed more effectively—while the mainsail’s high aspect ratio captures stronger airflow aloft for optimized upwind performance.
Lagoon’s signature flybridge elevates the ownership experience: dual access points, a dedicated helm station, and superb visibility make helming and passage planning straightforward and comfortable. The elevated steering position improves sightlines for docking and keeping watch offshore.
The cockpit and deck layout have been designed for social sailing and practical cruising. A large open cockpit faces seaward and a modular dining area with removable bench seating accommodates families and guests. Generous stern skirts provide easy water access and make boarding from a dinghy or dock straightforward.
Layout & Accommodations
The Lagoon 50’s flexible interior plan delivers comfortable owner and guest accommodations with abundant storage and excellent ventilation. Interiors are designed for liveaboard comfort and extended cruising, with careful attention to ergonomics and natural light throughout the cabins and saloon.
Galley
The galley is arranged for efficient provisioning and meal service underway or at anchor. Designed with cruising use in mind, it offers practical work surfaces, secure storage, and easy access from the cockpit and interior living areas—ideal for family meals or provisioning for extended passages.
Deck & Equipment
Decks are configured for safety and ease of handling, with straightforward sail control leads and secure walkways. The boat’s layout supports short-handed sailing while still providing generous deck space for relaxing, sunning, and safe crew movement underway.
Electronics & Navigation
The navigation and electronics layout is oriented to support passage-making and situational awareness from the flybridge helm. Instrumentation and displays are positioned to provide clear, consolidated data for route planning, and the vessel is prepared for additional upgrades to suit owner preferences.
Electrical, Power & Plumbing
Systems onboard are rugged and organized for reliable operation during extended cruising. Electrical, power, and plumbing systems have been maintained to support liveaboard comfort and independence, and a full service history is available for serious buyers.
