Boat Description

Introducing the S/V Jolie Brise II! This 1985 Wauquiez Amphitrite 43 is a blue water cruiser designed for sailors who seek both comfort and stability on the water. These vessels were built between 1975 and 1990, with a total of 138 units crafted by the renowned Henri Wauquiez in France. The Amphitrite 43, designed by Donald Pye, showcases a fin keel with a skeg-mounted rudder and is completely built with fiberglass construction, no balsa core decks.

The Wauquiez Amphitrite 43 features a thoughtfully designed layout, accommodating up to nine berths, making it perfect for family adventures or entertaining guests. The center-cockpit configuration provides generous 6.5 ft of headroom and ensures a sense of privacy and separation between cabins, enhancing the overall cruising experience.

Forward Cabin: A cozy V-berth with an infill that converts into a spacious double bed, providing comfort for restful nights. The cabin is designed with ample storage, including lockers and drawers, and offers convenient access to the forward head compartment.

Salon: The inviting salon features a U-shaped settee surrounding a large dining table to starboard, complemented by a straight settee to port. Both settees offer additional berths when required, providing flexibility for guests.

Galley: The L-shaped galley offers generous counter space and plentiful lockers for storage.

Walk Thru: The walk-thru to the aft cabin includes a single berth with storage beneath, offering additional sleeping options.

Aft Cabin: This private owner’s suite features a comfortable queen-size berth, a dressing seat, a hanging locker, and an ensuite head with sink and shower. Excellent ventilation ensures comfort during warm days at sea.

The vessel has been well maintained, with recent mechanical work completed, though some systems may benefit from further attention before an extended voyage.

The current owners have enjoyed 11 memorable years cruising the Caribbean. Due to recent health issues, they have made the difficult decision to sell their cherished S/V Jolie Brise II. This presents a unique opportunity to acquire a quality blue water cruiser at an attractive price point. Although the vessel is in good condition, she may need a few more upgrades before embarking on the next journey; please inquire for more details.
