The 42 Manta is well respected among cruisers as a very capable and practical long range cruising yacht. Built in Sarasota, Florida to very high standards, she is safe, comfortable and fast. Built in safety features include the laminated hull to deck joint and collision bulkheads creating watertight compartments in the ends of each hull.
Beginning with the design of the Manta 38 in 1993 in St Petersburg, Florida and ending with the last Manta 42 Mark IV built in 2008. Several 42 Mantas have completed circumnavigations and many others are cruising to distant harbors. The Manta 42 enjoys one of the highest percentages of live aboard owners of any production boat.
