Boat Description

Pogeyan is a 2004 Leopard 47 catamaran currently cruising in Tonga and Fiji. The Leopard 47 design provides a low profile for improved sailing performance while also offering great interior headroom. Built by Robertson and Caine, this sleek-looking catamaran was designed for speed, ruggedness, and reliable blue-water performance. Pogeyan has been continuously maintained and looked after by full-time liveaboard owners. The current owners have continuously upgraded her with the latest comfort and safety features. Outfitted to be self-sufficient in every way, Pogeyan is the ideal platform for extended cruising in remote locations.

The low and wide transom steps provide a great platform for diving or boarding a dinghy. The spacious cockpit easily seats a dozen, and the original Leopard helm seat has been modified for improved comfort. Inside, the galley boasts modern solid-surface countertops and efficient electric appliances, catering to a comfortable onboard lifestyle.

Pogeyan is configured for worldwide electrical compatibility with parallel 120-volt and 240-volt electrical systems, each with galvanically isolated shore power connections. The port heads have been upgraded with electric toilets. On the starboard side, each head and the forward berth are currently configured for storage but can be easily converted back to the original layout.

The Leopard 47’s reliable, direct-shaft propulsion eliminates the need for sail drives. The engine rooms are huge and well lit, with best-in-class engine access. Unlike many cruising cats, the rudders are protected by full-length skegs. Sacrificial keels, forward collision tanks, and a strong hull are a few of the many design elements that make this one of the safest and most robust catamarans available.

Pogeyan is loaded with essential cruising gear and is located in the best cruising grounds on the planet. She is well equipped, well maintained, and ready for you to step aboard and start making the memories of a lifetime.
