2005 Leopard 43 catamaran, originally the four cabin four head version, the starboard aft cabin has been modified for use as a workshop and utility room to store parts and tools. The head has been removed and the space used for a top loader washing machine and a freezer on a shelf above it. This cabin can still sleep one adult or two kids on a modified berth.
Katara is extensively upgraded, and set up for serious blue water cruising. Built by Robertson and Caine, the Leopard 43 model is well regarded for its balance of comfort and performance. Unlike many newer charter focused designs, this model was built with offshore capability in mind and carries an Ocean Class A rating. Designed by Simonis and Voogd, the Leopard 43 combines strength, safety, and handling with generous interior volume.

Owners comments: This is the boat we hoped to find when we began our search- a boat that’s been upgraded and is cruise-ready. Katara is a pre-2011 Leopard, beloved for their design focus on comfort and performance. We’d hoped to cross the Pacific and outfitted her for such. After 3 years, we are ready to pass her on to new owners. Newer lithium batteries, working fans in every corner, a fully outfitted galley, a washing machine, an extra freezer, extra toys if desired, and many more thoughtful details we added. This is a boat that’s been lovingly tended to by a fastidious engineer.
