Herkee is a non-chartered, converted Lagoon 380 sailing catamaran. Since purchasing her in 2020, the current owners have repowered her with new Yanmar 40 hp engines and sail drives, added major solar and lithium power systems, and de-masted her, creating a self-sufficient, ‘off-the-grid’ power catamaran.
Benefits of the de-masting included a lower center of gravity, reducing the crab walk found in rougher conditions on a sail catamaran, a 13′ air draft, and cleaner decks without any rigging components.
Clocking over 1,200 hours, including three trips to the Southern Bahamas since her repower, Herkee has had continuous upgrades and is truly a turnkey, ready-to-cruise vessel.
